Biographical Synopsis for Andrea Basile, M.D., F.A.C.S.
Andrea Basile, MD is the founder and medical director of BASILE Plastic Surgery & MediSPA.
Doctor Basile is certified by theAmerican Board of Plastic Surgery.
Before coming to Naples, Doctor Basile was an Assistant Professor of Plastic Surgery at Boston University School of Medicine and an attending surgeon at the Boston Medical Center. There, he presented lectures to the university and to the community. Winner of the Best Paper Award at the Plastic Surgery Senior Residents Conference, Doctor Basile has enjoyed multiple opportunities to present scientific papers of his own research at national medical conferences.
Doctor Basile has elected to focus his talents and interests in the Aesthetic Surgery of the Face, Breast, and Body. The practice he developed after leaving academia, allows him to provide focused service for healthy patients concerned with the aesthetic improvement and upkeep of their faces and bodies, in an effort to maintain their, deserved, level of satisfaction with themselves.
Doctor Basile received hisM.D. Degree at Georgetown UniversitySchool of Medicine. He pursued his residency in General Surgery at Harvard University's New England Deaconess Hospital (Boston MA) and performed plastic surgery research at Harvard's Massachusetts General Hospital.Doctor Basile then returned to Georgetown University for his Plastic Surgery residency. His studies continued in Tampa where he studied Hand Surgery. Dr. Basile then traveled to Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. There, as a visiting fellow in Aesthetic Surgery, he studied with Dr. IvoPitanguy, an internationally acknowledged pioneer of modern plastic surgery.
It is this kind of dedication to knowledge and training that has allowed Doctor Basile to develop technically advanced skills to empower his sense of artistry to provide his patients with aesthetically accurate body improvements.
Doctor Basile is the son of an Obstetrician and was born in New York, NY. He is delighted to be married to Ericka, a multi-talented small-business entrepreneur, and wonderful mother to their spirited children Julia and Nicolas. Outside his professional goals, Doctor Basile takes time to enjoy his family in the nurturing setting of our Florida sun.
