In our earlier post about the wonders of CoolSculpting, an exciting new and non-invasive procedure offered by Dr. Basile, we covered some of the essentials: what CoolSculpting is (and isn’t); who is a good candidate for CoolSculpting; why we consider CoolSculpting a breakthrough in aesthetics, and a turning point in the battle of the bulge; and how CoolSculpting works by literally freezing away fat cells.
Now let’s talk about the “where” — where on the body CoolSculpting can be performed effectively for lasting, beautiful results.
Aim for the Middle
In the struggle to clear those last, clingy remnants of “lipidity” from the places where fat likes to congregate, it can seem like no amount of discipline in diet and exercise quite does the trick. The belly pooch, chub rub, muffin top, banana roll, love handles, spare tire — they shrink, but they persist.
CoolSculpting (“cryolipolysis,” if you want to impress friends with the technical term) is designed to address those stubborn fat pockets found below the ribs and above the knees. These are the bodily regions where the CoolSculpting wand (applicator) can most easily reach the excess and zap it with the concentrated cold that fat cells really dislike.
The upper and lower abdomen, and the inner thighs, are the most frequent places — although CoolSculpting has been employed with success to wand away back fat.
An Easier Path to Great Results
Again, this is all done without surgery, extraction, suction or burning of tissue: fat cells crystallized by cold die off within weeks and are naturally absorbed by the body. There is little or no disruption to your daily life and routine after a one-hour doctor’s office visit with CoolSculpting treatment.
A single session can produce visible reductions of bulge within the two months the body typically takes to metabolize dead fat cells. And once they’re gone, they’re really gone. They don’t regenerate. But you should maintain healthy living habits to reduce your likelihood of producing new fat cells. Follow-up treatments are available, should you and your doctor decide they can help.
This safe and gentle form of body contouring has been featured on “the big three” morning shows — Good Morning America, Today and Early Show — as well as in Allure, Vogue, Good Housekeeping and Women’s Health magazines.
